Laura: November 3, 2003:

Ok, so I'm a liar. I said last week that the new page design would be up this week, but due to a very busy halloween week, I fell behind on finishing up the new site. I really want it to look right, otherwise I'm going to want to re-design it again in a few months. Next week, it'll be up....really.

Originally, I wasn't going to dress up for Halloween, but my workplace was having it's first Halloween contest, and everybody was talking about dressing up, so I decided to brave using a sewing machine and spruce up my old grim reaper costume. Halloween's one of my favorite holidays, and it gets so disappointing not doing anything year after year. Hopefully I'll know more about sewing next year to make my own costume. I already have plans to dress up next year for Otakon, and I' have an inkling for a cool Halloween costume next year, but it won't be easy, so I guess we'll see.

Lastly, the remainder of my free time was sucked up by playing Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. I really wanted this game to be good, but I couldn't quite form an opinion early in the game, though I was impressed with a lot of things. I guess it's just my high expectations from Symphony of the Night, and the recent trio of GBA games (Aria of Sorrow being my favorite). Anyway, now I'm like thoroughly addicted. I think with a bit of polishing, Konami could make a very excellent series of 3-D Castlevania games. I look forward to the next one.
